About the Company / Business

April Capalungan, also known as APRL, is an illustrator, printmaker, and an eclectic creative. APRL, without an “i” represents what she creates or does isn’t fully about her. She is interested in reconstructing and deconstructing a subject by observing formations and finding its core in recreating silent pop geometric illustrations and graphic design influenced by pictorial modernism. The stories she focuses on are about complex and/or mundane experiences and emotions. She shares a work space with her dog, Antoinette, whose main role in the studio is freelance napping.
