Since its inception, S A T O is slowly growing from its small beginnings as a micro business to become a torch-bearer in promoting local artisanship and embracing a collective memory of our rich cultural roots. Each series pulls you in with its robust Filipino flare from items such as The Datu (a pre-colonial ruler of indigenous people in the Philippines) to The Kilig (an untranslatable Filipino word meaning a feeling of elation). Through each piece, S A T O urges everyone to have a deeper conversation, get to know more of where we come from and keep the fire of our colourful history burning for generations to come.
