On October 4, 2024, the Claire Isabel McGill Luce Auditorium in Dumaguete marked its 50th anniversary with a fashion show titled To the Golden Age: Dumaguete’s Fashion Reimagined.
The evening felt celebratory and grounded in place, bringing contemporary Philippine fashion into a shared runway setting.
The show featured works by Amir Sali, Tingting Delfin, and Josip Tumapa, each presenting a clear and individual design direction.
Amir Sali’s looks reflected his experience in couture and detailed embellishment. Tingting Delfin presented designs closely tied to Dumaguete’s creative scene. Josip Tumapa focused on contemporary interpretations of Filipiniana and barong, with attention to proportion and modern form.
Beyond the runway, the collaborative nature of the event was evident throughout rehearsals, backstage preparation, and final adjustments.
Designers, models, and creative teams worked side by side within the same venue, contributing to the shared rhythm of the show.
To the Golden Age marked an important milestone for the auditorium while offering a platform for current Filipino design voices.
