To The Golden Age — A Philippine Couture-Inspired Collection

To The Golden Age is a Philippine couture-inspired collection by Josip Tumapa Design. It brings together Filipiniana, Barong Tagalog, and men’s and women’s formal designs as a single body of work focused on form, proportion, and contemporary Filipino dress.

The collection takes mid-century Filipino refinement as its starting point — not to recreate it, but to build from its visual language. Proportions are adjusted, surfaces reconsidered, and structure is used only where it strengthens the silhouette.

Presented at Silliman University’s Luce Auditorium, To The Golden Age sits within a wider conversation in Philippine fashion, where heritage supports contemporary design rather than limits it.
