Eve Takes No Fruit

"Is choice an act arisen by mere temptation - or the inevitable path to liberation?"
This was a 3d Artwork to be projected onto a screen/wall to be presented in the event called: Southwest Museo: Her Story.
Southwest Museo: Her Story is an art exhibition held by a youth organization within a body of The United Methodist Church in the Philippines - the United Methodist Youth Fellowship. The idea was mostly to invite talented youth members to showcase their talents and exhibit them to guests. The central theme revolves around the idea of Women Empowerment - whether it be character from The Bible or someone the artist may personally know.
I had the opportunity to be invited as one of the exhibiting artists for their event.
Inspiration behin the artwork:
After plenty of time ruminating which person or character I wished to depict in my artwork, I decided to choose Eve from the book of Genesis. I wanted to specifically focus on the idea of Eve having the authority; the agency or free will to CHOOSE to take the forbidden fruit. The fruit symbolizing liberation or freedom - perhaps even the concept of freewill itself - for the rest of humanity; her action in this artwork was meant to imply that she was free.
Knowing that this somewhat creates the implication of going against what The Scriptures have said about this, which made me hesitant in creating it - but I thought that it was thought-provoking enough to keep pushing through. I wanted people to look at it from a different angle.
